The record label skin definitely neat on the plaster that there were, after all, a musician of Linear Sphere in the lineup and even here were to be found many graduates of music colleges. I do not care, because if the whole thing so completely fantastic sounds like they may have been here in die churches on the local Tom Angelripper School.
First drop the inexperienced listener (read: me) the truly astonishing vocal arrangements on. This applies not only to full-time singer Ross Jennings, but the perfect set songs that you Spock's Beard debut got to hear no more since. Then you catch yourself by listening test to listening test longer there to sing or -zusummen to finally get rid of them never this one, the album by pulling the main theme. I have received the texts unfortunately not (yet), but I'm assuming that if already the music is connected by various tunes, lyrically at least find a rough concept also. But of course there are not just "this one" melody, for the whole hour is crossed by even wonderful ways.
HOOK manages the feat, the progmässig hardly at top end of 70 (Yes) with the 80 (Fates Warning), the 90 (Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery), to combine the 00ern (Pain Of Salvation) and, oh god, modern sounds, without this pass as another Dream Theater clones. Of course - a trippy instrumental part as the Monster Song "Pareidolia" can also be found on diverse DT blueprints but have Petrucci and co have ever had a song Overkill as "Cockroach King" or a short marvel as "As Death Embraces" hinbekommen?
Long story barely sense: Prog Metallers with Want something unique should ask yourself "The Mountain" necessarily in the closet.
