In Rock We Trust

Did the album as a huge fan can now go through for the umpteenth time and want it now happens to evaluate in detail and song by song.
Ever anticipation: It is a very bluesy album. Has what the Stiff Upper Lip album of style. The songs are generally held even more in the mid-tempo.
It is a typical AC / DC album. Where is the front of the flash on it, since this AC / DC is again there. One can say that the album is at a similar level as the previous "Black Ice" already.

So now, but the songs:
I value each at the end with a school grade of 1.0 (Tunderstruck level) to 3.0 (for AC / DC ratios rather moderate) because anyway the best band in the world does not deserve worse touch and an average AC / DC Song for any other band yet Top Hit would.

Skirt Or Bust:
The title song is already known a little longer now, and shows which way the whole album goes. At this rate, most remaining songs are. Very strong and catchy riff but unfortunately only moderate Lyrics. Despite a brilliant title track with ner lot of potential and tidy AC / DC power. Along with "Sweet Candy" is the best song on the album! A hit. For that reason alone already worth listening to the whole album. Makes you want more!

Play Ball:
Also known for some time. How do I find interesting reef and in relation to the album, a faster song. The lyrics are unfortunately here again rather uninspired. Nevertheless, there is a strong song, because it stimulates the toe-tapping and headbanging.

Rock The Blues Away:
Another great song. Riff strong. Unfortunately, the lyrics are on a similar level to the previous and the rest of the album (This is unfortunately Lyric technically the worst AC / DC album), but the chorus to sing along stimulates. Good solo (as in any AC / DC song). Good successful song. Earworm factor. Hit!

Miss Adventure:
Very bluesy. The reef is indeed great, but somehow the song as a whole does not have this Hitfaktor as the previous ones. A good example of that would actually more from the excellent riff can make. Nevertheless, by no means bad. Chorus can be super sing, because quite simply.

Dogs Of War:
Although the song is really superhot, but not quite at the level of "War Machine", the best song from the album Black Ice. The backing vocals at the beginning does not fit easily into any AC / DC. Although the reef band is typical here again really cool, but affects the chorus somewhat uninspired and the intro not as captivating and horny as the Black Ice namesake.
Still a really horny song.
Grade 2.0 (For comparison: War Machine 1.5)

Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder:
Unfortunately, no outliers upwards. Have me from the here, expect more from the name. The reef, which runs through the song, I found frankly with the other far better. It's again a very bluesy number at which the pace, however, increases slightly. Overall, however, be compared with the other Thunder song at all. Thunderstruck plays in a different league.

Hard Times:
None of the really great songs on the album. Slow song with a bluesy riff. This is typical album indeed quite good, but somehow missing the last train and kick like you actually know him from AC / DC. Still not a bad song but just not as ingenious as the right AC / DC hit.

Baptism By Fire:
Interesting intro, which I've never heard before from AC / DC. Varied in relation to the other number. Song and Riff are a little faster and the feet with rocker. But again, you could have done from the chorus more. Nevertheless, in any case better than the driving directions above. However, I find especially the first 3 songs but just a tad bit better.

Rock The House:
Again a little slower and uninspired. For me the only slightly sloping song on the album. Reef is pretty cool in the chorus. But otherwise halt as I said a little uninspired. But poor on any cases. But on the contrary. As I said, no AC / DC song can be bad! Only I've just always Back In Black, Thunderstruck, Whole Lotta Rosie and Highway To Hell in mind and since the new songs may just not yet quite keep up.

Sweet Candy:
The AC / DC most typical song of the album with the title song!
Quick. Riff horny. In a nutshell a hit! DC significantly better than the last couple of songs of the album. I listen to me nor to much more often! Sounds powerful and more after the typical AC / DC sound. Has really a bit of what War Machine in the intro. Super!

Emission Control:
Is again a very bluesy song.
But with heavy riff (reminiscent of Black Ice, the theme song from the last album. Only in pace a little slower) and it is also better than the average album. Good sound and completing the album. On level of the first songs.

Conclusion: Certainly not Back In Black album. But here can be found next to the theme song again a few really successful songs. The beat of Phil Rudd is as usual masterly and unique in style. There is no better drummer. The sound is like on Black Ice, with me but the Black Ice songs currently speak a little more, as they have a little more simply oldschool AC / DC Pep. And those riffs on "War Machine" or "Black Ice" has unfortunately hardly a song. In my Meineung producer Brendan O'Brien after the attempted AC / DC to make commercial. What seems unlikely to be the right move for die-hard fans, because so unfortunately the typical AC / DC sound is no longer quite be achieved earlier.
Nevertheless, a great album by far the best band of all time, which unfortunately does not quite come up to the well-known Top Albums. For any other band, it would be the mega album anyway. Only the usual AC / DC Standard has screwed the expectations even higher with me :)
Recommendation !!!

PS: Stevie Young on the album makes a good job as Malcolm replacement. Being a Malcolm Young of course never 1: 1 can be replaced.
So the rhythm guitar riffs are not too hard on the album. Perhaps one reason why the typical sound is not reached 100%.
