In top form

At the end of a sold-out tour Paul Simon in the Webster Hall in NYC occurred on 6 June 2011. Of a recording on 2 CDs and a DVD has been published - a stroke of luck: For Simon and his musicians show up in high mood to play, brilliant with Solis and a seamless integration, and PS interprets his songs with a lot of gestures, as he'll tell it to a friend in his own home. Striking here is that he omitted some of his greatest hits (like Bridge Over Troubled Water or The boxer), but less common title in thrilling reinterpretation presented (The Obvious Child, Rewrite, Gone At Last). Besides Simons companions Tony Cedras, Bakithi Kumalo and Vincent Nguini (which helped shape its African sound) stand out Andy Snitzer (saxophone solo!) And the multi-instrumentalist and musical director Mark Stewart; especially appealing the percussion game of Jamey Haddad. All in all a listening experience, the one is subject of the first notes on.
