It is quite strange to feel so intensely the fragility of a teen-aged, seeking the admiration of his peers but disarmed before their cohesion is done exclusion. So Sam and Patrick is freedom, novelty and the taste of a new future.
He touched me with his thoughts Charlie a little naive but full of common sense:
- Charlie?
- Yes, Dad?
(In these moments, it is important to say "daddy". It's the same when they call you by your name and your name, better beware. I prefer to warn you.) (Pp. 102- 103)
I remember that I was about to say goodbye to my aunt Helen, when I started to cry. And they were real tears. No kind of nervous, I often like that. So I made the promise to Aunt Helen cry only for important things; I would hate to say that because of my tears that come so often cry for Helen aunt may have less importance than it really has. (P. 113)
I think I would have even loved reading this book in full adolescence because Charlie is somewhere an example of determination, resourcefulness and openness. Composed in letters to a mysterious destination, this book restores a year of life as much learning qu'exploration Community codes of its own identity. Big plus: play-list of favorite songs of Charlie at the beginning of the novel (which I also listen and now it has famous good taste!) And a list of his favorite novels, including those lent by her teacher in the end developer. That is what turn to other avenues for that would have hung the character. This is my case, and this is a first, a fictional character got the better of my LAL (reading list).
Book Sensational giving love of reading but also poignant and full of small stones scattered here and there. To you go after him because I have unveiled a tiny part of the novel.
