Irregular genre, no hit potential, but incredibly good

What (among others) has worked as a producer for Feist, Jane Birkin and the Puppetmastaz kind of music you'd expect from a Berlin, originally from Canada, Yemeni paternal and maternal British roots and on top of that? N / A? An Idea? Also, I can not be clearly answered this question by listening to the new Mocky album "Saskamodie". But in the next few lines I try to at least an approximation. Well then.

Some know this Mocky perhaps of his underground hit "Sweet Music" from the year 2003. At that time more hip-hop with electronic influences, is now (almost) everything else.
