This book belongs to the collection "Early Readers", perfectly suited for beginner-readers, from 6 years. This title is easy level, ie that the text read by the child (the one in the bubbles) corresponds to the acquisitions of CP from January to June (there are other level headings "very easy" to acquisitions from September to December).
The reading is expected to be 2 to voice the parent reads the bigger text, and the child reads what is in the bubbles.
The format is perfect: a little larger than a paperback book, just end with a nice glossy cover that makes you want to get into reading!
The illustrations are really lovely, in full screen with the text transparent. The feelings of the characters are perfectly expressed by the line Melanie Allag. They are very touching (especially the little tiger).
The story really liked my little princess, who can not yet read (it has 2 ½ years ^^) but to my surprise she totally hooked to the character of Lou and especially the animals that surround it. She asks many questions during playback and wanting more !! The story is perfectly suited to younger, which allows this work to reach a fairly large age group (3.6 years).
At the end of the book, the last two pages are devoted to the star of the title animal (tiger here) with information in a form of "Did -you?". They certainly will interest the children a little bigger than my bullet.
In short, a nice discovery that will delight young and old!
