I have always been fascinated by crime novels that deal with classified folders surveys. This is an exercise that is ideal for the gentle rise of a detective story. Michael Connelly was a revelation for me with The Los Angeles Sewers and his recurring character Harry Bosch. The recovery of a listed file is an art. The author of the novel advantage of this new eye on the record to show the reader how to finally see this investigation should have the first time. This is where it gets exciting. When the hero inherits this folder, it will have to immerse yourself in, fiddling paper, reports, pictures, drink a lot of coffee and re-arrange each element of the survey to pinpoint one that was forgotten and start pulling the thread of clues that leads to the solution. John Katzenbach done wonders in the genre with The analyst and his hero is alone in doing so. When the character of the cop has a team to do the job, you see all the importance of a simple interrogation, a neighborhood investigation and search a little push. Jussi Adler Olsen has perfectly understood and integrated. Obviously there is a large consumer of Anglo-Saxon novels of the genre and it was perfectly able to monopolize it and put the colors of Scandinavia. Here he gives life to a wounded cop, full of bitterness, that his superiors think sending in a siding. But, helped by a second one that particularly hides his game it will show the extent of his knowledge. This is one of the elements that will make fascinating reading this novel. As for the rest, the author integrates his account of political and media dimensions that become true springs to bounce the plot. The alternation of perspectives is also very interesting, and contributes greatly to the rise of the story, until the final decompression ... It's one of the strengths of the novel by Alex Pierre Lemaitre.
So if you love the novels of Michael Connelly, John Katzenbach and Pierre Lemaitre, Ruez you on this first novel Jussi Adler-Olsen, who should be the beginning of a long series. If you have already read the book and you have not yet read any of the authors listed above, go to their discovery!
