Lesprit descalier (Title 1): - only 23 seconds, no valuation
Holiday (Title 2): - good, driving rhythm, Hammer chorus, to go along; good song 8/10
Put your money where your mouth is (Title 3): - places of high vocals -> a matter of taste (but I like personally), 1 single and only 2:30 min long, annoying little song 5/10
Bring it on back (Title 4): - offbeat song, song annoys also somewhat 5/10
Thats all read (Title 5): - quiet song, good start 6/10
Kings Horses (Title 6): - my first impression of this song: Sounds kind of nice for a McCartney song, quiet song, piano used, melody, reminds me quite easily to When Im Sixty-four of the Beatles. 7/10
Shine on (Title 7): - very quiet song, sparingly orchestrated, piano and percussion, partly sung in several voices, annoying towards the end because frequent repetition of the text, something schmaltzy 6/10
Come on come on (Title 8): - back rocking, good chorus (polyphonic) 6/10
Stand up (Part 9): - rock, similar to the previous title something a little too unimaginative and interchangeable 6/10
Rip it up (Title 10): - not skin me away, been there all before something like that, rocking and fast 5/10
Skin and Bones (Title 11): - rocking, beautiful rhythm 6/10
Shiny Magazine (Title 12): - reminiscent of The Beatles, polyphonic, beautiful harmonies, rather quiet, beautiful Gittarreneinlage 7/10
Eleanor (Title 13): - quiet, in principle, only acoustic guitar as accompaniment, polyphonic, Beatle-like, 7/10
All you have to do (Title 14): - very Beatle-like, rather quiet, beautiful melody, polyphonic chorus song could end up (by frequent text repetition) a bit annoying to be 7/10
Out tip: Holiday, Kings horses, Shiny Magazine, Eleanor
Very nice album start with Holiday. The next song (the first single) is good but a matter of taste, the CD then drops slightly (title 4 and 5). Title 6 and 7 are again a lot better. It seems as if the whole album to title 7 (Shine on) around is built. There is also the album name and the last track then refers textually something on Shine on (All you have to do is shine on (line All you have to do)). The title 8,9,10 and 11 I do not like so much, sagging. The titles 12-14 are very Beatle-like and good. The album brings even get out what.
Overall, I expected a lot more, especially the hangover part could have been better to arbitrary and interchangeable. For my taste too many quiet pieces. Apart from the 4 Anspieltipps been no song remains particularly depend, which was with the 1st album differently. Almost every song was well on his way, walking with melodies ear and circles there, with the effect that you want to hear the song over and over again to such good songs have to be! The first album was much more imaginative and varied than this. It's more fun when listening, encourages moving to and vote in. That is not to say that this album is bad, maybe I expected compared to 1 more or something else. I must say that I Shine on blind chewed (due to the excellent debut) after I very left for 3 years later. I do not regret the purchase, but give the CD still only 3 out of 5 stars. (The debut bekämme from me 5/5). This will continue to rotate more often than Shine on me.
Artwork: I have the digipack version purchased (was only this). I am not a fan of Digipacks me is to lawede and the paper corners easily get creases and the color comes from. Jewel Case is because stable and higher quality. The CD itself has only a normal silvery surface with Jet Shine on imprint and a track list. No highlighted pattern or design as the CD of the album Get Born. I find personally unkind. In the booklet are some photos of the band members are individually and collectively, so nothing special. No lyrics included. CD has no hidden or bonus tracks. Surface of the digipack is very slightly rough (I think at least.)
So now you can see me as I'm tearing all, because that was my first CD review and I was the first who has pity on to judge this album.
Thank you very much for your attention and goodbye! :-)
