The New Danger (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Finally. The new Mos Def is outside. And this album is damn used to, because it not a typical Hip Hop is about 70%. But that's what makes it so exciting! Take for example the track Blue Black Jack (no. 6), which sounds like a rockier Jimi Hendrix Track. Mos Def us all kinds of sounds skin around the ears: (no. 7) hard guitar reefs, as in Freaky Black Greetings, Schmoove Soul samples like Sunshine or Modern Marvel, bluesy guitars like Bedstuy Parade ..., flute sounds on Sex, Love & Money or oldschool hip hop beats like Grown Man Business (Track 13). All in all an absolutely varied album full of creativity and energy content is. Take for example the track Modern Marvel. Here Mos asks what he would Marvin Gaye tell if this would still be alive - to a sweet sample that is based on "What's going on". Much sarcasm, a lot of criticism and a lot of black Consciousness. After I was quite shocked after the first hearing, the album wins at each other listening to depth and brilliance. So much creativity I have not heard since the last Outkast album (which was the same Geschocktsein!). For so, which it definitely involved next level. And how far Mos Def has thus removed from Talib Kweli. I hope nevertheless to a Black Star Reunion. Peazn!
