Juanes regreso! The unique Juanes is back!

With PARCE what in Spanish (from the region of Antioquia where Juanes comes) means as much as "mate", this unique artist from Colombia lays back down a thrilling and touching album.
For each song:
In "Quimera", a melancholy, almost sad song is about the suffering and misfortunes of the world, it comes that the answer to violence and natural disasters can only be the (overarching) love. It's a song of vibration and yet combines a touch of hope.
In oriental-electronic-tinged "Regalito" is about a "gift" that Juanes wants to make his sweetheart ... The song has a heavy, sensual sound, a devoted love letter full of beat.
"Amigos" is a pop-campfire-beach-heavy song, if you can call it that, an airy, delicate, comfortable to listening song which Juanes dedicated his friends. Almost ballads like he indulges here of friendship and thanks his companions for their support and loyalty.
With "Yerbatero", one of the definitely the best pieces on the album, combines Juanes electric guitars with instruments typically found in the cumbia, a traditional music from Colombia, and thus creates a hot fusion hüftanregender rhythms along with the typical rock touch of Juanes makes only , In the song, it comes to the art of healing the "Yerbateros", the "Kräuerhexer" if you will. Less happily, it goes on with "Y no Regresas" a sad, desperate song about a just failing love. Again very sensitively interpreted here Juanes a really poignant text. The song itself is towards rock and pop, it may even find a few bells sounds space. The melody is very catchy and a tear with a great song.
A perfect example of a song that can not be cheesy quiet, romantic and yet, is "Lo Nuestro". It's about the low points which can be reached in a relationship, and still holds together. A wonderful, sensual blend together flows there and one is - perfectly fitting to the theme of the song: a night of love.

Overall, I find PARCE a good album, Juanes venturing into new territory, experimenting, yet it remains unmistakably himself / true to yourself. Just a pity that there are so few songs, I feel the times when most CD's were still at least 15 songs are over.

Otherwise, I can PARCE only recommend both old fans like me, because it's still surprising and you will discover new sides of Juanes, as well as for new fans, I can well imagine that just songs like Yerbatero one or the other of Juanes making and its unique kind of music, will be able to convince!
