John Williams is one of my favorite composers. He composed the soundtrack of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters - In addition to Jurassic Park would include Schindler's List, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Kevin to call home alone or ET. And all the movies have something in common: After just a few notes of the scores one recognizes the movies again! In 1993 when the Dinos stomp across the screen, it was probably the magnificent score of the generated voltage and emotions aroused. Particularly the theme stood out for me today. This caused also in the Jurassic Park sequels for the musically-supporting background and will probably have a significant role in the announced fourth part.
CONCLUSION: The big hype about Jurassic Park is probably long gone. For 1993, there were a proper Merchandise wave of Jurassic Park fan articles: From Base Camp about video games posters and toys you could buy everything! What remains today is in addition to the film, only the soundtrack, reminiscent of the surprise success. And the remains also worth listening to in the future, and has lost none of its magnificent presence.
