Killzone 3 Helghast Edition

At first I could not decide if I "only" set the Collectors Edition, or equal to the Helghast Edition will buy. Have fortunately been waiting and then snatched the Helghast at a bargain price. In my opinion, a must for every Killzone fan!

Campaign:

After the death Visaris Streikräfte the ISA (or what is it remained above) try to leave the planet in a blind retraction action. The two Hauptcharaktäre from Killzone 2, Shevchenko and Sergeant Rico Velasquez remain, along with other stranded ISA soldiers around the not too popular Captain Narville back. Meanwhile, reflected the Heglhans government with the crucial question about who should lead the Helghast to Visaris death.

In addition to the normal campaign, there is now a co-op campaign, which makes it possible for two people to play with a buddy.
Content, I must confess that the story is indeed thrilling, action-packed and interesting and thus actually summarizes all important factors, compared with Killzone 2 but me a little lacking the dark atmosphere. In addition to new characters and venues, new units and a number of weapons used. So there is a lot to discover. Fun guaranteed!

Bot Zone:

The Bot Zone is the ideal place for beginners to get used to the combat system of Killzone 3. The AIs have become much more resistant and respond better than in Killzone 2. The criticized from many sides "sluggish" control is history. Lightning-fast rotations are no longer a problem. Another very nice new feature are the melee attacks, which the Helghast maul in various ways. The knife as "survival weapon" only comes to melee attacks to use and no longer exists as a direct weapon.

Multiplayer:

In multiplayer, there are three different game modes: Guerrilla Warfare, use and war zone. In "guerrilla war" is about to kill as many enemies until no reinforcement is present. In "application" mode missions in the form of multiple tasks in a given time must be completed. Each won task there is a short film sequence in which the most successful players are shown. One fails at a task, the game is over! "War Zone is similar. Again, tasks need to be fulfilled. At the end of the Group win with most successfully fulfilled tasks.

Many pages of the multiplayer is heavily criticized. In my opinion this is not justified, although I must admit that you have here can do more. Basically, the problem lies less with spawn killers or so that you have everywhere. It's more of the balance, which is not true .. There are classes, such as the sniper who have incredibly strong skills a distinct advantage over other class. In the long run the game suffers when only Sniper occupy a complete map.
Otherwise, I am completely satisfied with the multiplayer. Pro launch, fulfilled task or acquired Medal (Ex .: 100 kills with the rifle and) you get points by which you unlock higher ranks. Each new rank will be rewarded with a different number of activation points which you can use to unlock weapons and abilities of the classes. The incentive is therefore as to supplement all classes and to be as good as possible. The motivation does not expire (with me) even after several days and the fun remains. Great!

Before I review the graphics and sound, I would add that I unfortunately do not have a 3D TV, and thus the 3D functionality can not test. Furthermore, I came not yet to test the controller via Move Controller. Will I still catch up as soon as the sharpshooter arrives.

Graphics:

From the graph lives Killzone. "Lives" in the truest sense of the word. No image judder, no graphical glitches, a clear, razor-sharp image and an incredibly vibrant surroundings make Killzone 3 to graphically probably the best game so far! And the resolution is reproduced not in 1080p, but "only" 720p.
For the graphics, there are very strong 5/5 points.

Sound:

The game is bilingual and therefore offers a number of possible languages. In addition to English Synchronization, which I recommend to everyone, there is in my opinion, gruesome German Synchro, which is really useless. Is offered further digital surround sound, where I came only to benefit from 2 front speakers + sub because my 2.1 system. Nevertheless: The sound purely powerful skin, the bass is clearly audible and you can hear everything crystal clear. One can already formally suspect that what corner what lurks. Really very strong, especially the atmosphere in the game thus reached a very high level!
Strong Again 5/5 points!

Extras:

The Helghast Edition truly offers much. To be precise: everything a Killzone heart needs to beat to continue! All the PSN store coupons I have given away, I have an American account and German codes are useless. Pity!
The bust and the figure, as well as the 100-page art book now decorate for some time my case and make really, really good!

Helghast helmet Bust:

The helmet itself is not settled in full size (would have been too good raise prefer directly and never fall again! * G *), yet offers the interior space but for the game + book. The helmet thus consists of several parts, which can be disassembled without tools. The whole thing is made up almost entirely of plastic, but looks from afar much more noble and high quality, which may well be due to the first-class processing. A very, very nice and detailed helmet!

Sniper Action Figure DC Unlimited:

Full-articulated action figure is made entirely of plastic and is a just camouflaged snipers Helghast. Although I'm not a fan of action figures, take this good piece but very happy with the cabinet on!

100-page hardcover art book:

This book bears the name: The Art Of Killzone3 "and shows 100 pages colored concept art to vehicles, characters and battle sites all at very high quality photo paper and in English nice touch, you can still scroll through times again.!

Conclusion:

Killzone 3 is for me the first-person shooter of the year, bringing in almost every area loosely from 5 points. As is so often the campaign is once again too soon and the multiplayer also has one or the other weakness. Despite all the can be found in this game long-term motivation and unlimited replayability! And just the Helghast Edition should miss no friend of this game series. Crystal clear buy recommendation from me for this convincing in all respects match!
