POSITIVE:
- Looks elegant
- Easy adjustment of the desired hair length
- Relatively easy cleaning
- Full charge in just 60 minutes (according to the manufacturer and the display.)
NEUTRAL:
- Accessories: cloth bag and a tiny brush (about 6 mm wide)
CONTRA
- Battery life far removed from the name of the manufacturer *
- Vacuum device sucks only 70% of the hair from
- No cleaning with water possible (but I knew that beforehand)
* Battery-PROBLEM:
While Philips boasts a battery life of 75 minutes the battery lasts only about 22 minutes in turbo mode even 16 minutes. Since we initially thought, the unit would not have been long enough in the network, we have the BT7090 repeated several times fully charged and short shaves "simulated" (ie the battery for a few minutes and run off again). Usually he did not turn back after 3 to 4 times. This means: Even though he was only a few minutes and having the most recently displayed even a nearly full power, suddenly flashed the orange "battery empty lamp".
On the official website of Philips already existed in July 2014 notes to an extremely weak battery. In September reported another customer that his BT7090 after full charge and only one minute test the next day indicated an empty battery pack. Here one could have assumed a Monday device. Since December 2014 but also report some Amazon customers in reviews and comments from the extremely weak battery. So I'm not the only one who received a "Monday device".
CONCLUSION:
Although the battery problem affects several customers and was known even before more than 6 months, there is still no opinion or recall by Philips. The equipment purchased by me is in any case returned to Amazon, in the hope that the purchase price will be refunded straightforward. Too bad that the search for a reasonable beard trimmer again begins again :-(
