The right part of the envelope has a leathery appearance. This dichotomy of the material like it very much. However, the surface of the left half, which then runs down the spine and around the back, a decisive disadvantage in my eyes. It has a softer, very slightly porous surface and feels quite pleasant for me, slightly "rubberized adhesive" to. This is all very comfortable to hold. But the downside is: dust impressions can be seen after just one week, just around the bend edge at the back it looks now a bit "greasy". When closed, already runs a slight gray-greasy edge at the bending edge over the surface.
The reader is attached with two plastic clips up and down, the Reader has it there holes. In both cover caps are above the margin two lightweight magnets incorporated, so that they firmly schnacken smoothly on the reader. Thus, the back is also movable separable from Reader ground, as just a "paper Tabel" in a book, but who already looks at the back of his Readers often to.
When reading one tends to bend the cover all around, which also goes very easily and is thus the reader also (and still is) good in the hand. The back is certainly by not beautiful, but the now, it is supposed to be a commodity.
There is indeed leather surfaces, which are good signs of age, I am afraid, this envelope is not among them.
The workmanship is very good, however, it is indeed hardly what goes into the then not quite cheap product. Whether one however must unclip the Reader öfers in and out, without suffering the plastic holders, I do not know. But why would you want that anyway?
