I am now three 4 months in possession of the Asus U53 and have to say I am absolutely thrilled. That's the best laptop, with whom I've ever worked with.
Design and perceived quality:
I look forward each time to sit down at my bamboo notebook, because the design and perceived quality are really absolute top class. The bamboo surface feels very high quality and is also an excellent workmanship. At this point, you can theoretically write a lot, but I think the images speak louder than words and therefore easy to point to look at this.
In my view, after that is you can get on the market, by design, the best Windows computer to date. I personally was very important for my purchase decision and had informed me in advance therefore long and was then stood before deciding Asus U53 or MacBook Pro. Design Technically, both playing in the same league, which me the Asus with the bamboo surfaces then still a number like better.
The keyboard is great, so even writing longer texts / emails fun. The keys are deposited, thus minimizing the risk of Vertippens noticeably.
Price-Performance:
As already mentioned, only two notebooks came with my decision at the end of the question, and I then decided Due to the price-performance ratio for the Asus. While one finds similar hardware even cheaper, but can then keep up, by design, never this. I have the price jump for the design like paid. Compared to the MacBook Pro Asus beats this hands down. With the same hardware equipment of the Asus costs only half. Of course, Apple all components are matched to each other, but because I have both professionally and privately almost exclusively to do with people who are using Windows, this represented for me no Plus represents.
Working speed:
Working speed is amazing. I use my computer now not ever for total complex applications but ehr for everyday tasks and here I am thrilled. Within max. 30 seconds I am completely Ready and can work with the computer. Office, Internet and image editing work fantastic and can be operated without Geschweindigkeitsverlust also parellel. More complex moviemaking, editing is possible without any problems.
Battery life:
In pure office and Internet use my best value was 6.5 hours, which is an absolute top value in my opinion. And with the power saving setting as me with this screen optimization is not even a bit too dark.
