I use the AmazonBasics monopod with my Nikon D7000 and Nikkor AF-S 18-200 and a Nikon SB-900 (total weight approximately 1.9kg + 450g for the tripod). In a nutshell, you get here for one low price a good mono tripod, which is more than enough for everyday use. For me, with my 1,93cm, is the biggest selling point, that you can take off the tripod to 170cm. So I can use it comfortably without me having to bend over. Even the tripod with just 450 grams is also pleasantly light and processed properly. With the accompanying carrying case you can carry it easily over his shoulder.
