Like a Phony? Nee ...

At first I was torn. Actually I wanted to give MDNA originally only three stars because I expect just as many years of fan more of the Queen of Pop as swim along with the wave of the 80s revival. Madonna is the epitome of trends, provocative and innovative sound, they say. With the release of the last singles GIVE ME ALL YOUR LUVIN 'and girlgonewild inventing the wheel not exactly new ...

After careful consideration, I have found, however, that the concept of innovation is very flexible. If it was then, he can do for the Madonna MUSIC successor AMERICAN LIFE same allegations. The French producer Mirwais was involved in two works that come along similar electro and playful. RAY OF LIGHT MUSIC and both comes in part from William Orbit. The title produced by him bear inevitably his handwriting. Are these LPs so bad? No, because for capable Hitlieferanten Madonna had always demonstrated a knack. The fact that they made mistakes in their relationships themselves, she admits (I F'KED UP). Although she was often disappointed in the past, she embarks on liebestolle metaphors that equate to a drunken stupor (I'M ADDICTED - awesome), or the object of desire with a beautiful painting compares (MASTERPIECE - conventional Kitsch for her film WE). In LOVE SPENT she complained again that some men also are on their money. A jab at Jesus Luz? Who knows ... Anyway, tells Nicki Minaj in I DO NOT GIVE A particularly against Lady Gaga out ("You're Madonna, May I say you're original than Gaga") ...

--- The sound ---

From the lyrics ago should MDNA so do not underestimate, but also the melodies know fully convince. They can be called Best Of Madonna's career. Even the opening by girlgonewild is all about the bottom line Madonna and sounds like a crass mishmash of ACT of Contrition, SORRY and CELEBRATION. I'M A SINNER is clearly William Orbits work - as if it were back in 1998, Ray of Light was on the verge of publication. I'M ADDICTED however, makes a forward line for CONFESSIONS-time in 2005. This reminds me of the high-energy synth sound very at FUTURE LOVERS and therein Donna Summer sample - one of the great highlights of MDNA. Hardcore fans like me should not the textual reference to TRUE BLUE escape ("... and it fits like a glove"). GANGBANG contrast reminiscent of Madonna's beautifully exhaled Chanting very at JUSTIFY MY LOVE, concerning the sound one might think that Depeche Mode had been received with Goldfrapp a compound that acts more than electrifying. FREE FALLING is the exact opposite. The intensive piano ballad at the end of the Standard Edition of MDNA comes out with no frills. She was full of feeling sung so goosebumps not remain excluded. In my opinion, this ballad is the best of her career!

The booklet contains many pictures of the entertainer in displaced-colorful style of interestingly designed covers, among other things, to the standard CD and to girlgonewild single. Unfortunately, no lyrics were printed as with the last previous albums ...
This edition is the way to the uncensored with full lyrics. The "Parental Advisory" badge was therefore not printed for fun in the upper left corner on cover art.
The second CD contains five other titles that supplement the music well - the instumentalkarge ballad I F'KED UP BEAUTIFUL KILLER (No Doubt says hello) and B-DAY SONG. The latter is probably the result of a spontaneous jam session with MIA - cool! Only the Give me all your LUVIN' remix of LMFAO remains as the actual version of taste.

--- Conclusion ---

Not their best, but one of their better albums: Madonna has always been been the interpreter who has snapped the zeitgeist of pop and could use for themselves commercially. From therefore MDNA ranked very well in their discography. As a mere imitation of hard candy can be described this album by no means. The pop queen must not be always innovating to make good music - MDNA is the proof of this. They are quasi award its essence and played repeatedly on their successful times. The album will turn the next few months determined ecstasy in my CD player and my sweeten the anticipation of the first Berlin concert.
