By connecting the strip through its USB connector to a Dell monitor (in my case the P2815Q), unfortunately it works only when the sound signal - is transmitted from a connected computer - using the included USB cable. The externally supplied via a connected HDMI cable sound such as a photo-video camera is unable to process and pass on to the speaker bar of the Monitor, however. Thus, the usability of the Soundbar is unfortunately severely limited.
