I accidentally stumbled upon the film and thought it was something for my daughter. Although the story sounded reading relatively shallow and absolutely predictable, but I did not really find a problem for a typical girl-and-horse movie.
It is a film that does not have to compete with a film for adults from the voltage ago - and I also expect when watching.
The story itself is absolutely unreal and oblique also in many places; Just the view of the neighboring family (if a parent really lived through such a massive mental illness) really absolutely nothing to do with a realistic version of the events.
The theme to Klara and the horse are very shallow, but at the same time provide other subjects were gewurstelt in the film, which on the one hand a very serious background have (pychische diseases, separation / divorce, relocation, blended family), but on the other side be indicated only superficial and definitely does not fit into the shallow concept. It looks as if they wanted to enhance the film so inhaltich. But this is my opinion not succeeded because these serious issues seem more like an afterthought, because they were not integrated, first and second, only hinted at.
What I found in addition really tiring, were the performances in which almost all participants showed very little dynamism. The story is indeed quite change and development possibilities, also a "formulation" of the characters would be quite possible, but that was all very one-dimensional. In addition, especially the leading actress played very little contrast. They almost always showed the same facial expression. This was not even supported with more words and one has not been drawn into the story, but was hardly involved back.
When you're working with little word material, the actors have to be very strong character and work with a lot of gestures and facial expressions.
This was missing entirely me.
Even my daughter, who is otherwise susceptible to such horses movies, this film did not like, but it could not justify completely.
The comparison might lags somewhat, nevertheless: "East Wind" was relatively well for adults and for me well viewable.
I am very happy to have got virtually nothing to see the film. Money I would not want to spend it.
