So it's true, I cried like crazy for almost half the book. Luckily I was only in passing. But I also laughed, I was moved and intrigued. This book presents the disease as in reality unvarnished, but with some modesty. No grandiloquent drama, no long caressing dripping scenes, but just two teenagers who love each other and fight together against cancer.
The tone is so realistic that I really like being with them and any living live. And it is impossible not to be touched by Gus and Hazel. Gus and charm foolproof, Hazel and her inner strength. They impressed me both. I found them so brave.
This is a heartbreaking book theme hard, but it is mostly a beautiful story, which made us realize that our little daily problems are very little compared to what some through. So read carefully.
