Major weaknesses in the use

By design, I find the device succeeded. As with most other digital cable receivers, the picture quality is good and the service is also OK. But in detail it will be a bit annoying.
1. During installation, I had the (time-consuming) depth channel search, to get all channels. Such a notice in the Quick Installation wizard or in power at XORO would have saved me many failed attempts, an e-mail request to manufacturer unfortunately remained unanswered. Immediately after installation, I updated the firmware (20.7 from 08/10/2013). Then I signed up in the XORO Support Community and all the problems that I had confirmed found. Here own experiences mixed with quotes from the community:
2. The content of the EPG is erased when you turn off (to stand-by mode). You have to reload each time after switching on the content. And that seems to make the device only when you durchzappt once through the corresponding channels.
3. With the EPG but also manually using the Timer function programmed broadcasts are sometimes not recorded, or they are deleted the next morning. So if you want / need to see a movie necessarily, should not go to bed or he should opt for another device.
4. with the EPG recorded programs show during playback always initially subtitles. The subtitle function must be switched off each time. "Remember from" I have not found.
5. With the EPG programmed broadcasts are partly taken up by the end (located on inaccurate switching times of the transmitter). You have additional time front and rear "manually" it added manually using the Timer function. This can not (as with other receivers) default set and with just a little unlucky you will find the recording the next day anyway (see above)
6. The USB port can only 500mA. Proposed for PVR is a plate with an external power supply. This is unacceptable. The board should of course only run if it is needed or when the receiver is turned on. Otherwise, the low-power mode is unnecessary.
7. A second USB port (on the front) would be very helpful, then you can use a FP / USB flash drive at the same time with the wireless dongle offer Xoro, another dongle does not work anyway. That the device has only 1 USB_Anschluss, is of course apparent from the description.
8. Press the "Info" is more decorative, they bring no information about the films.
My conclusion: I hope for an early firmware upgrade that fixes it to the producer shall ensure known problems. Otherwise, I'm going to the device under warranty return with a request to correct these errors.
