After I have long hesitated to spend the money on this lens I bought it now though. I have it pre-tested, compared with the Sigma 70-200 2.8 and over again with the Nikon 70-300 VR. After I was able to sift through the first results on the computer in low light conditions at the zoo I've absolute certainty. The images are incomparable. Most clearly the differences in the beautiful blurring can be seen. The animals are placed wonderfully free, are downright plastically against a diffuse background. Impossible with fainter lenses. The autofocus is lightning fast and error-free follows even fast-moving animals so I even successfully tested it at flying birds. Who hesitates here at asking price should consider the lens is very versatile, provides even under poor lighting conditions still useful results where others already have to pack and is factually built for eternity.
