Martika was a superstar in the '80s and had with their first album a mega success. Your anti-war song "Toy Soldiers" was for weeks at No. 1 on the charts and is a super catchy song, which has now been sampled by Eminem. Martikas cover version of "I Feel the Earth Move" was and is a blast. This was followed by Super Hits and Dance hits like "More than you know" and "Water." The second album is way better than the first, but could not aufschliesen to the success of the first album, unfortunately! "Love ... Thy Will Be Done" is a mega ballad and the second single "Martika's Kitchen" is a super dance number. Both singles were composed by Martika and Prince. "Coulored kisses" is one of my favorite songs, and thank God with on this compilation. Hopefully Martika gets some new fans and hopefully a new contract and a new album!
