Finally, 2 Titans in their field have once again teamed up to all newcomers to show how cool and relaxed, a real blues album should sound. With their first joint work to JJCale and Eric Clapton to outdo each other. Actually, it's a Cale album since 11 out of 14 pieces from his pen stammen.Darunter two already come from the 70s (Anyway The Wind Blows and Do not Cry Sister) .By Clapton's active support, however, the result is something quite besonders.Nämlich album simply fun macht.Jeder song itself has its own face and no one will langweilig.Es is just good old Blues of "The Road to Escondido" dominated.
"Missing Person" and "When This War Is Over" are lightweight and go directly into the ear. In "Dead End Road" are very slight Country elements to hören.Mein favorite song and also check out tip, however, is written by Eric Clapton and John Mayer. "Hard To Thrill" is a song that absolutely gets under your skin and you could imagine directly in a smoky blues club to sit-HAMMER !!
"The Road to Escondido" is really worthwhile and is just one of those discs that are completely timeless and always welcome in the CD player werden.Empfehlenswert incidentally also during a trip on the highway Have fun !!
