Venus Lucifer Ltd. Fan Box (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I wondered after the appearance of the "Rosicrucian" album last year, as the band will manage to increase the next album yet.
An enormous challenge if you even sets the bar so high.

And now I'm sitting here again with headphones, let me take you into their world and am stunned, because they have yet again managed to surpass themselves. The third album by the band is more sophisticated, more mature and more powerful than its two predecessors.

A masterpiece that you can scroll over and over again. Endless, without being able to get enough of it. Very high addictive !!!

The "Venus Lucifer" can be described as a female counterpart to the "Rosicrucian". Both together make a powerful pair. The king has found his queen, so to speak.

The opener of this album "We are the fire" makes at the beginning of nightmares. A completely new experience, the four musicians to hear the choir singing. A hymn that will go live so under the skin that I can hardly wait for the tour in January.

"Soul Blind" is an absolute earwig whose lyrical content makes you think.
A magnificent song that I just can not describe. I find it anyway whoever enough to put my feelings into words.
In general I like the lyrics of "Venus Lucifer" particularly well because they are easy to fix in the mind.

Properly impressive I find the vocal performance of Daniel De Clercq in the song "The monument falls". My absolute favorite. I can not hear it often enough. Just awesome. The typical 'fornicators madness' presents itself here in top form. Daniel De Clercq gets increasingly out of himself. One can observe from album to album fascinating progress.
This song grabs me totally. Usually screaming and chanting is not necessarily what I prefer in music, but in the fornication I find it just awesome. Is a must. And Daniel De Clercq has a large dose of passion and emotion in his voice. Not so, as with other bands in the scene where the singer sounds like a robot, or just place value only on volume. Here emotions are conveyed in a big way. And Daniel Schulz sings of course here the melodic chorus.

"Ikaria" I know neither classify nor to describe exactly. The song does not quite fit with the others. A very rhythmic song that exudes warmth and hope, in spite of contrary lines of text. Hard to explain. Beautiful, unusual, with a touch of Mediterranean flair. But somehow sings me Daniel Schulz places too deep. But what has impressed me immediately is when he sings the backing vocals himself. That comes with some songs before on this record. The hat was.

It has also mixed a large shovel gothic rock with individual songs, which I welcome. Dark, melodic, passionate, exciting, and still beautiful, playful electronic elements. Such as in the song "Take Me Out". An incredible work that really 'entrains' you. It is literally snatched the world and dive deep into the music.

"Infinity", the first single of this CD. A typical mixture of madness, knowledge and life affirmation. Simply brachial darkly gorgeous. There is a really great video about this. Just take a look at Youtube thereafter.

"Newborn" really has everything you need for an immorality song. Yet another work from the category 'awesome'. Somehow amazing how quickly the fornication can write songs with so much power. No sign of creativity loss, despite appearing annually albums!

Daniel Schulz presented in this album surprisingly different facets of his voice. He is much stronger, which he is vocally capable. In places very unusual deep and calm, then again with an incredibly poignant vocal power.
The best example is the song "Silence", which also largely comes from his pen. Very impressive. Epic! Just wow!

"Suffering image" is also such a listening pleasure. Again it comes down to business with passion. I go so slowly from the descriptions.

"War" is a matter of taste. Some will love it, others might be able to do anything with it. Brachial, short and crisp. Geil.

"My grave" is the exception-song on the album. And rightly set up the rear. He can finish the masterpiece slowly. Profound text, albeit not quite my cup of tea content. Beautiful piano passages. Very poignant.

I bought the fan box and am very happy with the choice of content. Alone the trailer (the medallion) is reason enough to choose the Box. The buttons and stickers are really great. Autograph cards I find cute. Postcard size are everywhere, but just this compact version is particularly beautiful.
