I admit, Lord of the Rings is not guaranteed 0815 movie and this soundtrack is not just any soundtrack, but I had to after the primal audition nag something. Really had to so many of the old melodies to use, just to show that this soundtrack of the leading (Fellowship Theme / Mordor / ring Thread / Lothlorien / Shire melody / Khzad-Dum / melody of Council of Elrond)? So is an equal thrown the issue of the ring in title I of the head, which we already know from Title 1 Soundtrack I, so that we know immediately that we are in the right film. In Title 2, the melody of the Shire briefly repeated, but then swallowed by dark tones. However, a big plus I give to the many solo vocal inserts. This affects the whole soundtrack alive and choirs sound somewhat stronger and are not just a Hum-Hum in the background as I in part to my joy I found naturally also new tunes on this CD. The title tune for the country Rohan who is heard for the first time in Title 3 is really great. Mäjestätische wind and to a melancholic, beautiful violin solo. This melody repeats itself in different ends Varitionen on the entire soundtrack. Very nice, I think the vocal performance in "Evenstar". The presentation of the song has some similarity with Enya "Ainiron" of Part I. Otherwise have to complain about nothing more than the rest of the soundtrack. The only thing that disappointed me a bit is the marching song of the Ents, the text of which, although printed in the booklet, but that totally lost in the music and not the least bit sounds so powerful, how it has been presented when reading the book. In Title 18 again the beautiful Varation the Fellowship theme, which we already know from the end of the first part and then passes into the theme song repeatedly. But "Gollum's Song's" leaves no dreamy romance arise, such as "May it be". Only the melody of the song rather sombre and berohlich, then melancholic and depressing. Emiliana Torrini's voice actually very similar to Björk's voice. This type of soprano flatters my ear pesönlich not so much as Enya's voice, but the slightly scratchy quitschige and vibrato of Emilianas voice brings much better the zwiegespaltenen and tormented character Gollum across as some bright Engelstimmchen would have done. Conclusion: The enthusiasm increases with every listen.
