I enjoyed this second novel by Marie Neuser (I kill French children in the gardens). It happens in Corsica, but could be in any place in the desert by the sea, where it is warm, with jellyfish, goats and wasps (in Corsica, what!).
It is a kind of family thriller gentle slope. It is also a beautiful teenager portrait, sensitive and moving, but not touting for a round. The author uses to the narrator, giving a strange and original clinical distance to the story. It's very well written, in a cold, hard style, which cools the warm atmosphere of this cruel and oppressive strangely ordinary family history.
