On the mono recordings I was particularly excited because I grew up with the 87er CD versions and the mono LP've noticed only at the very edge. After reading the excellent book by Geoff Emerick "You're the Beatles", which recommended, to listen to the mono versions, as they have then given until 1967 Mono the delay, I was even more excited about this box. I personally have always bothered with the Beatles that they could not enjoy through headphones (stereo Ping Pong) - and even in the car, I had some problems with the enjoyment.
Now I heard for the first time, for example, Paperback Writer and Rain by shaking bass in the middle (where it belongs) and realized that it is a completely new listening experience and am just amazed at how the new stereo versions. Just to experience this it was worth buying this box.
Last night I heard the weißte album completely in stereo and then completely in mono. When I sit comfortably with eingem distance from the boxes on the sofa, you can hear in the stereo version more details deliberately out. The mono version enfaltet the larger force. What I find better, I can not say much. It will probably be dependent on the location of the hearing and the mood of the day. Both versions have their charm.
Music consumers who like to listen to through headphones to be sure better off with the mono box.
