First review on style. It is beautifully written and those who enjoy the beautiful turns of phrase will be pleasantly surprised. I quote this passage trivial illustrate my point:
"In that September morning, a very fine mist veiled summer boost, and already announced the chilly light rhythm of winter, its short days, his silence. The return took place smoothly, as long series of small sacrifices that some called the fall. "
Then the story is original, contemporary and challenges all of us, men first, the difficulty of finding his double, man and woman, that eternal sex ratio, seen from different angles, an intellectual enamored of top model, the wrong man, and the man who bears the original sin of all men.
"... It was a simple matter of common sense; we want more and plsu the desired object moves away, this is the first lesson that takes the teenager who yearns error. that this man committed the blackboard was to find women a specific nature, to bring together into a whole, to see in them the best symmetry, the worst of opposites. "
Sometimes the story one could be blamed not always realistic, taking the reader to an imaginary, magical world. Yet the literary style of the author always finds the right balance, and we let the liking of pages carry the story until the last page of the novel.
"Agnieszka and Yves hugged late letting out little sighs intelligible in any language."
It is a remarkably novel written with great finesse and mindset, humor but also philosophical passages that challenge. A gay romance, happy, to the delight of the reader. Superb!
