Murky and pessimistic

Little (Paperback)

Customer Review

This story is murky and I find actually quite banal; the style chosen by the author, voluntarily vivid and raw, emphasizes the banality of sensation, except in the last paragraph of the book where the author makes a remark suggesting that this novel could be that his life or less a true story of his entourage.

The positive aspect of this novel is that it tends to paint the reality of today's life and scenes as they arise, avoiding taking position, a bit like a hidden camera. On the other hand, it is sometimes the psychological limit of caricature, with particular reference to cancer as moral of this story (diseases come evil thoughts). I think fans of sociology and psychology will appreciate more than others, because this novel describes the scenes as cases of school.

I personally did not like this novel, depressing, which shows a system of unjust and foolish society. And then there are too many themes that blend: racism, perverse manipulation, revenge, the couple and separation. Playback is smooth, but without pleasure. Perhaps love some, others like me will not like.

Madame Angot has the merit of differentiating into taking risks and not to leave indifferent readers. It is this quality that I had enjoyed in his previous novels. However this is not enough to me to convince me. I hope this convaicra in other, perhaps more enlightened ...

To you, therefore, to judge by buying this novel and reading this book.
