In memory of the first three albums, now was the latest project and that can be heard. The remastered songs to listen to the original, but with a sound momentum as they did not know before. A gift to the loyal fans and to all those who know Alphaville only from the 1980s. The rare B-sides were not unknown to me, I knew them all, but in excellent sound quality they are a valuable asset.
The B-sides are proof that the band already in the early days had a penchant for experimental and partly sloping, non-commercial sound. Using the example of the demo version "Summer in Berlin" also shows how the later album version was ground on the first album, "Forever Young" in a catchy format. And the B-side song "New Generation" is inherent in an incredible hit potential, which could still inspire today. When you hear this song on the way to work in the S-Bahn, a successful problem-a daydream in the style of the 1980s. The double CD is primarily something for fans and connoisseurs of the band, but in my opinion, an absolute enrichment for fans of synth pop.
