In principle, there is already enough reviews for the Galaxy Tab's, but I think you can not write enough positive things about this device. Well, half a year ago of childish playfulness has called me to a tablet PC. Back then there was basically only the choice between the iPad, the WeTab and the Galaxy Tab. The WeTab has disqualified by countless poor testing practice itself. There still remained the iPad and its competitor from Samsung.
I then thus to Media Markt played around the corner and with a bit of both. The reason why I decided ultimately for the Galaxy and to the apple was that the simple iPad myself too much on my iPhone in the 3Gs-he remembered version 'it was nothing new: The same restrictions already imposed upon me Apple in Smartphone, also applied to the tablet and in addition, not that I would ask that of a tablet, it may not even make calls and take pictures' so basically a giant iPhone, only without phone.
Do not get me wrong, I think my iPhone really great. I use it mainly to make phone calls and to every now and again to gamble a round of Tetris' and that works fine. But I would never get the idea to make reading books or more than 160 characters to write 'for the display is just too small. That's why I think it's not bad here, that I can show, for example any Flash content that I can not install some programs for some reason that I only once iTunes has to ask permission for every fart, etc. pp. For me it is primarily there to make calls and send texts to 'the good it can. Now comes the down everything rolled BUT: When it comes to the direction of PC (tablet PC), I want to do everything that is technically possible with the device 'Here I do not want to dispense with Flash content, here I want to install the may, as I've Bock. Already there are only a few iPhone / iPod / iPad-exclusive apps and for which there is, there is already a just worthy alternative. In Market, there is a Gameboy Advanced, a Nintendo 64 and a Playstation 1 emulator, with her many of the old games can durchdaddeln again. Sound quality for video and music comes naturally primarily to the files themselves, but if this is true, it sounds to such a device really great at what comes out of the speakers. The same applies to the image quality.
Speaking of image! My Samsung TV can I control super well on the Galaxy Tab, similar to my surround system. Also to make little things on the computer, I have now my laziness no longer overcome and get off the couch, but turn me easily on app TeamViewer remote to the computer. Now I'm just waiting for a Playstation 3 remote control app and am perfectly happy ;-)
In the next few days, the GT is to get a firmware update from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. After that, the default Internet browser will probably run much more stable - scrolling and zooming will probably also be possible without tantrums' until then the Dolphin HD or Opera browser is recommended from the Market. Generally, the update will eliminate some teething problems and make the GT more ingenious than it already is. Where we were just surfing the net, I still think of that the GT also supports tethering. This is very convenient because you put the GT easy via USB to the PC or laptop and this then uses the mobile Internet connection of GTs.
All in all, I am absolutely satisfied with the thing. Let's face it: in principle, it's a toy and is what nobody actually needs' any more, or possibly almost as little as a iPad :-P Despite makes it one every now and then but everyday I now need no books and / or magazines more rumschleppen with me. The large display and the correspondingly large keyboard, I suppose seldom with my laptop. E-mails can be read and responded to by the move. The main electrical appliances can I control from the comfort of the couch while I look over short times on Facebook and the world may impart how lazy I'm just. My iPhone, I am also with increasingly rare, since I can also make calls with the GT. On the way to the station I can look short if my train is on time, and if not, where there's something delicious to eat. But enough said 'I'm going to devote myself again Super Mario 64 on my Galaxy Tab ;-)
