Here two master of tension building and its dissolution another. Long-drawn melodies, yet very well tracked, lead to amazingly beautiful phrases, eg "Long as you know ...", minute 4:26 to 4:53, where Keith Jarrett delivers its peak of this album. Otherwise Jarrett falls mostly a rather rhythmic (and harmoniously hauntingly beautiful) game while Garbarek contributes "pop" melodies: and this is meant by and through positive, because the pieces nest by an ear, without being flattened in any way ,
A very sophisticated, yet well listenable album, which is in my "eternal list" very high up. After "My Song" by the same quartet, and you're a jazz fan.
