What I loved this slice (back then there were only black discs).
spliff was cool, funky and trendy.
their songs had tossed and quality.
nobody wrote songs like "deja vu".
and no one played drums and sang as Herwig Mitteregger.
reggae, funk, rock and soul music. everything in spliffschen repertoire.
none slammed his drum sticks so the rim of the snare, as Herwig.
plus they had a huge hit NDW "carbonara".
album is from 1982 and 37 minutes.
almost all liked at the time this work.
the Kiffer heard "Jerusalem".
in love loved "heut`nacht".
the hi-fi freaks liked "at that time".
the Opel driver heard "duet completely"
and I loved the song "Emergency".
even if the keyboard sounds are outdated today.
85555 is a timeless piece of German pop culture.
a masterpiece of its time.
and probably the best NDW disc of all time.
