I do not know why they changed the design ... anyway, now we find ourselves with a pile of bric-a-brac of poor quality plastic.

As for the glass container, I would say nothing, since it is cracked to 3rd use. Reminder: glassware is not guaranteed by Bodum.

A star for me, amazon not allowing me to put zero.

Shame really, I had the old model for years with satisfaction until I break the glass cleaner.
