The first single "My Turn" promised a rocking, the style of the old albums oriented album "For (n) ever.
Full of anticipation ended the disc in my player and I listened.
Nevertheless, a disappointment set in, because the rest of the album and my expectations were not necessarily congruent, No, they were even completely different.
Where's the rock Hoobastank like "Pieces", "Same Direction" and "Out of Control"?
The disc is again relatively balladenhaltig, similar to "Every Man for Himself" it was ... but well, I gave the board a chance.
Disappointed, I'm not, definitely not. The disc is very catchy and somewhere you can see still a typical handwriting.
Doug's voice sounds a little different, but my God ... the man is also older, not chopping around on him.
All in all, "For (n) ever" still a very good, new album. One should just not be direct about what you'd expect, but should neutrally rangehen on the disc.
Then you will not be disappointed.
They are and remain so still "Hoobastank" and have never disappointed me.
