The PG278Q has a very good TN panel, but it's still a TN. It is in terms of color intensity and black level far removed from standard TN panel my 1080P 24 "The worlds are the image of PG278Q looks really great!
The difference to my IPS is then also not as extreme as feared.
The colors are almost level in IPS, but the black level can be seen but then TN technology.
Not wrong vestehen ... The SWIFTm makes black not gray, but in direct comparison with IPS it is just a little brighter.
However, the viewing angle-dependent color is typical TN panel available - you just sit in front of it but you can tell them absolutely nothing.
The 2560 * 1440 just look crisp and even the desktop is noticeably quiet at 120Hz
The difference compared to my 24 "playing hard to put into words, you have to have experienced times !! I am completely thrilled -. CLASS
With GSync and 144hz setting enabled gambling is just absolutely gorgeous liquid. between 45fps and 144fps you never notice a difference in this area GSync is just perfect.
The image is always sharp, stable, not teart and all inputs are immediately visible on the monitor !! One can, for example, writing on walls and billboards in the movement ... Read HAMMER!
The interaction There are currently nowhere in this combination! - So naturally entstseht also the relative (painful) high price ..... there is no competition - sad.
This monitor is the ne plus ultra for gamers in 2014!
There are also positive points such as:
- Perfect Stand
- Thought out cable routing
- Very good ergonomic Verstellmögichkeiten - including Pivot
- A hammer OSD with joystick !!
- Sexy stealth appearance :-)
Negative I find missing Input options .... a HDMI 2.0 port (for the future) would have been there!
The target group is certainly located in the player enthusiast range, make what price and equipment quickly becomes clear.
May be but who would ever want to know how awesome playing with his GTX780 / GTX970 (or higher) .... the need to consider these hefty INVESTMENT!
Conclusion: The price is certainly a hurdle. ASUS can be the matched innovations pay well, for lack of competition, the price is also certainly not sink so quickly noticeable.
For players with a potent (GTX770 ++) NVIDIA card PG278Q is the absolute Hammer. In the area of 45fps - 144fps to get really into raptures .. whether LoL, DOTA2, CoD, BF 4, Starcraft2, Anno2070, CivilisationV or FarCry4 ... everything is super soft and can often grin sit one in front of the monitor.
Expensive, but cool !!
