But Undercover also has some massive weaknesses, and in the first place is the driving physics. What you see on the screen as part of the right makes sense only for people who either occupy a chair of alternative physics or experimental theology. There are simply situations that you absolutely must avoid, when the actual hot race is not to say goodbye to Absurdistan:
- When driving on flat curbs the car jerks usually quite normal, but sometimes decides the engine that 5 cm edge now sufficient so that the car rolls over several times three feet above the ground.
- Occasionally, the car responds much weaker on the control, as you would expect eigenmtlich.
- The impact on the wall is always a special Überraschungei: time to stay just standing, sometimes you will be thrown spectacular, sometimes just one imagines cross, sometimes happens hardly anything, except that the steering hardly reacts, until new keys suppressed. Interestingly, the engine thinks it with the opponents often much better ...
- Collisions with other drivers are a particular nuisance. While you can ram the enemy even at the most perfidious manner, without being really gets off the track, the own vehicle often a slight touching with enough on the rear and you lose all control of the vehicle (including to tax does not help!) And revolves around the own axis - often more than once, because the subsequent driver then crash like in a pure and an ever swirling. Until you can drive again, the race is already over. If you still pushed at an angle from a driver, each keystroke is vain - it often remains in this position for 10-15 seconds. Each vehicle contact, in which you can not just push into an oncoming car the opponent goes, disadvantageous for oneself.
- Especially the faster vehicles can only drive if one is filigree technicians, otherwise you hanging in the wall or constantly ramming civilian cars. Presumably, that's even more realistic, but combined with the need for very short reaction times often leads it to frustrating crashes. On the other hand, the Undercover reveals challenging - I was at Most Wanted never need to focus.
Another big flaw is the graphics: Worked Most Wanted as a realistic environment, Undercover comes with an artificial translucent graphic therefore that offers the eye less, but is significantly resource-hungry.
Conclusion: It can play, and it's nice break. But who is looking for a exceptionally good racing game with atmosphere and better driving physics, should pick up the older, but better around lengths Most Wanted.
