Nice but overpriced block set for Call of Duty fans

The manufacturer's age recommendation is 12+. This is not only the martial theme of War video game series "Call of Duty" but obviously also due to the sometimes very subtle assembly. During my 8-year-old son and I like to build various Lego sets, the fun of assembling the "Light Armor Fire Base" held but within limits.

But the positives first: The plastic stones in camouflage design is really well produced and high quality. The particles of dirt and paint damage to the vehicle are not printed, but already cast as "color impurities" in the plastic with. In addition, like the fact that the stones - are printed, and not - - they have, for example because the vehicle number as almost invariably the competitor Lego - have to be stuck. Also works well in comparison with the Swedish stud Empire: In the assembly instructions, the areas are highlighted in color, on each date to be placed parts have to be plugged. Through this color code Falschbauten are almost excluded.

Negative contrast is that some parts look almost identical - and only quite turn out in the end as foolishly confused. So there is a single part with four tabs that does not belong to the vehicle, but to "sand base" of the sniper. Also, there are edge portions very small differ in their size. Also omitted on Mega Bloks numbered plastic bag. But the turn out just in Lego sets to be very helpful, because there already portioned match the stones. In addition, many of the mega-Blok-parts prove advised to be very small. By the time we were really annoyed by the assembly.

Really, I was not relaxed when it came to the assembly of the moving figures. The items are sometimes again fallen very small - and especially in the belts belonging pulled over the thighs, so that Soldatenpüppis also the right moment have the plastic knives in plastic hand, it took already mean force to the rubber part on the muscular thigh to get. Firstly, the soldiers are more mobile than their colleagues from Lego City on the other hand they are not outside playing sometimes - involuntarily and not from a military action out - into its component parts.

The assembled kit looks nice, but is not very detailed. Also, the vehicle has no special features, except that it can roll on its tires.

There are a total of us no more than very average three star for this. We have already assembled more entertaining and detailed sets. The figures are also not perfect. Fans of "Call of Duty" to access - to the new part of the series will appear as a video game.
