The quality of the Fritz repeater is excellent as I all Fritz products know this so far, but unfortunately the frequency does not automatically switch between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Since I both Apple devices that can cope with 5 GHz than have older Windows devices that only support 2.4 GHz, the repeater should automatically detect the frequency. He can not, unfortunately. You can only set him firmly on 2.4 or 5 GHz.
