I use the notebook for study, therefore, was for me the mobility the main criterion.
Those looking for a mobile, powerful notebook and makes do with the 13.3-inch display, which can strike here without hesitation.
PRO:
+ Battery performance is realistic at the very least 5 hours. I believe in the power-saving mode and 10 hours for possible.
+ By the SSD, the notebook is booted up in less than 20 seconds or wakes in 2 seconds from hibernation.
+ The small size (thickness) and the pleasant weight drops the device in a rucksack not on offense.
+ With the powerful processor and 8GB memory elaboration, one should be prepared for at least the next 2 to 3 years.
+ The build quality is almost perfect. Only the USB ports are a little strict.
+ All drivers are supplied on DVD. (Is not self-evident)
NEUTRAL:
o The already repeatedly found fault display I have not yet noticed negative, but it would be better in this price range.
o At this size, of course, no separate numeric keypad is present, which is used to.
Contra-points I could not find.
The following should be mentioned:
- From the already small hard drive is about 50GB reserved for a recovery partition. Of course, I immediately set up the device and formatted this partition. Then the memory is enough.
- The figures show a different keyboard can be seen. (For me, thank God, the 2x ENTER button is so high and less wide.)
- Who - like me - will also program / needs, which is an external monitor to heart. This is certainly not compulsory, but 13.3 Vs. 24 inches are self-explanatory.
Those who place less value on the battery life and performance, should look at the Asus Zenbooks.
ADDENDUM:
After almost 2 months of daily use, I'm still impressed by the battery life.
The unit is robust and suitable for everyday use.
One criticism is to be noted:
In the resource-eating game apparently is not sufficient processor cooling and the notebook shuts down after a few minutes. Remedy I have created, as I spiraled down the processing power to 70%, which still seems to be more than adequate. (I suppose that here the Intel Turbo Boost Technology is the problem. This whopping processor reaches 2.7GHz instead of 3.4GHz namely that in the long term are probably too much.)
All in all, the little ASUS money well worth and I can recommend it to anyone who wants to move.
