Here I use the sound card in combination with a high-quality headset to a computer. For the sound without a headset, however, I take back my investment.
Initially notice that the map is well made. The box acts stable that design I like and there in terms of functional display nothing to complain about. The card itself at the famous two optical Stadardanschlüsse for headsets and is even (easily) connected via USB to the computer.
The sound quality is noticeably better than before. Equipped with the so-called 3D sound it makes a significant difference from before. It should be said that I play mostly shooter with headset (do not like it when the neighbors heard shots from my apartment;)). Without problems here is to establish whether a sound from the left or right comes. I must confess that I previously knew indeed the concept, but the fine expression have never experienced. While talking about Skype, I have not noticed any real change. The sound quality in general also seems to be quite good, however, to what extent there is a difference to my onboard sound card I do not like to say.
Another booster is the so-called Scout Mode, which is specifically aimed at players of shooters. The aim is to make the virtual opponents easier to find, and I assume that certain sounds will put simply louder here. It works somehow, but smacks that the THX 3D Sound must be switched off. This is annoying, because without this the effect of Aufspührens of opponents falls almost completely gone.
What the software angebalangt so I feel it as far as possible functional and difficult to understand, but in the result.
Conclusion: Not necessarily inexpensive sound card which keeps its promises. Suitable for shooter enthusiasts who want to be even better. The rest I advise, however.
