Good points:
- The expander effectively removes the face 2 good centimères of the screen, and it is pleasant even for the subject; eyeglass wearers should definitely find their account with this product.
- The object is made with elegant and robust material; in addition, it holds very well in the unit and there is no gap between it and the expander.
Negative points:
- The EP-EX15 II in particular (I do not speak of EP-EX15), not suitable for large appliances like the 50D or 5D Mk II; he holds up, but does not match, in size at least, to the size required by the device. To illustrate my point, I refer you to this site with EP-EX15 ([...] with an EP-EX15 II ([...])
- The stent has, for some reason that nobody could explain, an optical system multiplying the size of the viewfinder by 0.7, that is to say, reducing the size of the viewfinder , which is still handicapping. To overcome the problem, unscrew the two screws of the stent, then remove the front panel that is supposedly against the unit and remove the two lenses. Screw it all, and the extender becomes a "real" extender!
In conclusion, this is worthy of Canon: well made, useful, and easy to use. However, it should be noted that EP-EX15 II is intended primarily for EOS 550D, 500D, 450D and 1000D. Larger units will have to fall back on the EP-EX15.
For my part, I intend to refer to this expander Amazon; I have already ordered the EP-EX15.
