Grand Morbid Funeral (Audio CD)

Customer Review

BLOODBATH are already a phenomenon.

Was the Akerfeldt Phase absolutely old school, with a few modern Lead gimmicks, so we went with Tägtgren in much more technical. Logical successor was The Fathomless Mastery, the annexing between Swedish and Morbid Angel'schem Groove / Technical. The latter was for me the weakest part so far as Åkerfeldt is constantly repeated in techniques, the songs just so brutal were not like those of the predecessor and factor X, who wanted me simply reinlaufen nciht quite as good as before.

Grand Morbid Funeral is exactly the opposite: We are technically sound back closer to Resurrection Through Carnage go, the songs still have a certain level of complexity and can act bulky. Then there is the further that Nick Holmes, as well Tägtgren, quite different sounds as Åkerfeldt. In addition, again clearly tormented and oppressive. The song makes the already brutal music pretty morbid.

In gesamen a very strong step back, but at the same time two further front. Nick Holmes to use as singing is brave, but here probably eie the best decisions you could make.
