Once again a very beautiful album of Placebo

One thing first: I can understand even if some fans to cope not well with the album. If the song suddenly a synthesizer spits a few notes, one naturally wonders where the came from - was not usually there. Disturb not doing me but I'm very well with it. Just as with the CD. "English Summer Rain", the first real song on the album is unusual chill for placebo conditions, but has a beautiful vocal melody and adds skillfully the mentioned synths. "The Picture", "The Bitter End" and "Plasticine" rock hard, "Sleeping With Ghosts" and especially "Protect Me From What I Want" are wonderful ballads. I can criticize only two things: First, the opener. The instrumental piece is good, but realistically I Skippe it now but every time. The same goes for "Something Rotten". I understand that placebo want to experiment a bit, and just a piece with such a serious issue (child abuse) lends itself naturally to an extraordinary composition. But the result is simply unpleasant, mainly because the placebo otherwise existing good melody is missing. Too bad, that's why there's a star less.
