PD James had accustomed us to detective stories to intrigue searched. There, do not expect anything like this. The characters let themselves be carried by events, we never see the investigation move forward. PD James, to extend the sauce, each testimony rehearsed several times without this leading to real progress of the plot. The denouement arrives like a hair in the soup. As for the characters of Elizabeth and Darcy, I have not found the dialogues and finesse that are distributed all the charm and the salt of their encounters in "Pride and Prejudice". We are glad to know them happily married but they have become insipid, their exchanges have agreed that suggests that is not Jane Austen wants. In short this book is for me very disappointing, annoying while I was looking forward to the idea of a sequel to read that is not control but written by a grande dame of crime fiction.
