I want to reflect the specifications and features of the camera does not detail here. In the description of the camera everything you need can be found.
I have subjected the camera along with the Canon PowerShot SX220HS a comparative test in good weather conditions (sunshine, almost cloudless sky). The Canon I have chosen as an analogue camera, because it also is a super-zoom camera - "only" with 14-times zoom (28-392 mm equivalent KB) - and the Canon is widespread. I think that many readers may thus provide a good picture of the possibilities of the two cameras.
First now but for each equipment.
Both the Canon as offer the Samsung - no longer commonplace for today - in addition to the scene modes and semi-automatic functions, such as time and shutter priority. The Samsung has a lens with a slightly higher initial light intensity. In addition, the zoom range of Samsung is larger than the Canon (18x - 24-432 mm).
The Samsung surpasses the Canon equipment other in two points. On the one hand, the Samsung WiFi. This can be transferred wirelessly to a PC or laptop the images. In addition there are for Android smartphones and tablets probably Apps, with which images can be transferred to such a mobile device; In addition, the camera can be remotely controlled well with such devices.
In addition, Samsung has a touch screen. Many camera functions can be controlled via touch screen; although the basic functions can each be controlled via the four-way rocker.
That is to say that Samsung has the touchscreen operation very well implemented. Apparently Samsung has here to transfer its know-how of the good smartphones on the camera. Anyway, my touch screen operation of WB250f like better than the attempts z. B. Canon and Nikon have made in the past with compact cameras.
Ultimately, however, must also be said that the Canon PowerShot SX220HS can operate just as fast without touchscreen. Therefore a distinct advantage I personally will not be touch-screen operation - but it may be that "touchscreen affinere" ghost think otherwise ...
Now to the really core issue any criticism of a camera - the picture quality!
As it is written, I have made a comparison with the Canon PowerShot SX220HS here. For this comparison, I have set a whole series of images. Here you can understand very well the results also. As part of the settlement, both cameras were set to aperture priority mode; the panel was in each case set to f5.6.
The Samsung does - in my opinion - in good light pretty decent pictures. Situation with little light are clearly not your metier. However, have in my perception most superzoom cameras in low light their troubles. That's why I want the Samsung this point does not hold against.
The WB250f has a good part of their considerable focal length range centrally decent image sharpness. The color reproduction is much more restrained than the Canon. The Samsung provides less contrast images than the Canon.
Looking at the images of Samsung on its own, there is little to complain about at these pictures. Compared with the Canon but the Samsung reveals weaknesses.
Nevertheless I like the Samsung! It is worth the money in any case. Where do you get a camera with modern facilities and decent image quality for about 140,00 ...
Users of Samsung smartphones and tablets, the camera has a great added value - the camera can be controlled but over such devices; In addition, images can be transferred wirelessly to these devices. This is certainly an added value that should not be underestimated.
