The image stabilizer is also more than great ... and I had other superzoom cameras !! So to 20x zoom are really sharp photos in it. Clear you should hold the camera already reasonably quiet when the light is weaker ... but that's quite feasible and in bright light no problem ... Even with full digital zoom (at least 80x zoom) are still sharp photos doable. ..
Have tested the camera even in low light conditions and must say the results were more than satisfactory. Well sometimes you must then just lend a hand and may not just the auto or scene modes use even though you work in my opinion very well. If you are investing yourself hand the results of course even better ...
And in complete darkness one should perhaps just once pulling a tripod into account ... Even with professional cameras you get at some point only the best results if you use a tripod ...
For a camera like the PowerShot SX1 you can already think about it. A good tripod for a camera like this one gets from just 20 euros on Amazon !! z. B. from Hama and for this camera perfectly adequate !! It's just not as hard as a professional DSLR !!
So people there are always different opinions and tastes differ. Therefore you makes itself ne opinion and do not be swayed by bad reviews here you. There is even at the last Fuji S100 in several magazines winner was very different opinions.
I think partly it's just very subjective opinions as one feels photos ... I think the photos of the Canon PowerShot SX1 wonderful ... The camera is in my opinion worth the money !!!
I can not understand that many people on the Internet complain about the battery life also. Clear should not use normal batteries !!!
But clearly you need BATTERIES !!!! The best 2 * 4 AA batteries with at least 2700 mA / h, then there is no problem with the batteries !!!
