The only freedom that the scriptwriter Marc Group has allowed the exchange of Inspector Bradstreet by Inspector Jones. Both policemen are creations of Doyle, the most familiar is certainly Inspector Lestrade, who was most tried for film and radio play, even if he was not one of the party in the actual story. In the radio drama series of the label Maritim example, was heard almost continuously Inspector Lestrade at the side of Holmes. Perhaps one reason that when Titania media now has to serve Inspector Jones. Unfortunately a very enervating character, because the constant suppressed sneezing, probably a kind of tic, acting on duration plenty disturbing. Especially since the original speaker of the Figure, Christian Rode, has since been replaced by Hans Bayer. For lesser-known supporting characters like Bradstreet or Inspector Hopkins on the other hand seems to have no place.
The remaining actors have largely done an excellent job, especially Joachim Tennstedt and Detlef Bierstedt who has to serve in the role of Dr. Watson, of course, as the narrator. As a man with the Twisted Lip, incidentally Jacques Breuer to hear, has been heard Gruselkabinett in three episodes of the series. For SHERLOCK HOLMES the figure of the beggar Hugh Boone is his first role.
Music and sounds are again used very subtly and appropriately. Effect storms as in other series, however, are not to be expected. But the story is clearly in the foreground and which belongs in the present history to the more original written by Doyle. It does not always have murder precisely. May be that stress also generates different, just shows this result in excellent fashion.
