Battery Performance: We come to the first battery at least 300-350 m², after mowing the total is the second battery is not empty.
Section result: A reel mower cuts the grass known from as with scissors, as opposed to conventional rotary mower, it cuts off. This does the grass very well, it creates a uniform, dense green carpet. It could happen that the mower depresses individual stalks and then does not cut right away, if necessary you go again from a different direction than as a job. With the overall result, we are certainly very happy, so beautiful the lawn has never been.
This mower is actually the first and so far only one who can mow the grass tidy in our rainwater seepage pit and above all on the side slopes without knock quirks in the area.
Handling: The mower is compared to conventional electric mowers relatively easy. The Slide is easy, the lifting of the grass box for emptying is a bit cumbersome, but with a little routine no problem. Plugging and taking down the battery is very easy.
Audible noise: much quieter than an average electric mower.
Maintenance: The cleaning is a bit awkward, as with all reel mowers, because you have to clean the individual blades of the spindle. One should always do it immediately after mowing, as long as the grass is still wet and you can just wipe it. So far we had the cut not adjust (the lower blade), but eventually it will probably be due. The procedure for this is well described in the manual.
Note: If the grass is very high and you mow then too fast, it may be that the mower off in between due to overheating of the battery. In this case you have to change the cutting height and mow slowly.
The mowers can also be used without a motor drive, the spindle is then driven as conventional hand lawnmowers from the wheels, but the mowing result is then not quite as good as the spindle rotates more slowly, if necessary, but that's already.
Summary: Our best yet mowers, highly recommended.
Addendum 21.07.2010:
If the average result is not so good, you should push times and observe whether stalks between spindle and lower blades pulled, but are not cut sooooo slow at running spindle. If so, the lower blade must be readjusted. Ideal setting when the spindle blades with a slight (!) Schabegeräusch (no rattling or hitting) pass on lower blade listening (which is, moreover, exactly the sound that me about earlier from the hand reel mowers is still in the ear) is , The correct setting has a great influence on the mowing.
In the heat we mow currently relatively high cutting height (37), and the lawn looks great.
